Goober and the Ghost Chasers is a made-for-TV cartoon that William Hanna and Joseph Barbera produced for their company, Hanna-Barbera. It ran in 1973, with a total of 16 episodes airing on ABC. Ghost Chaser Magazine writers, Gilly, Ted and Tina, as well as their mascot/pet dog Goober, chase down ghosts in hopes of catching sightings of it for their magazine company. The series also had notable recurring appearances from the Partridge kids, who appear in eight of sixteen episodes. The Goober gang would, more often than not, come face-to-face with some kind of villain disguised as a ghost, and have to stop their evil plan. It was one of many attempts by Hanna-Barbera to recreate the success of the Scooby-Doo franchise.
When we started creating characters for our YouTube channel, the entire cast were in a later lineup we did for modeling, we made them as they were part of HB's history, I did modeling work for Goober.
The first Goober and the Ghost Chasers story we produced for the channel, titled "The Ghost Hunt," which wasn't written by me. The plot followed the gang going ghost hunting. The second story, titled "Catch the Ghost," which also wasn't written by me, also involved the gang going ghost hunting. In the final story, "We Have to Catch a Ghost," which again, wasn't written by me, had the gang exploring an abandoned town.
We are still in the process of writing more Goober and the Ghost Chasers stories, as well as other Hanna-Barbera stories that you may see in the future. However, we haven't written a Goober and the Ghost Chasers story in a while as of 2023, but I hope we can create more in the near future.
