Loopy De Loop is a theatrical cartoon series that William Hanna and Joseph Barbera produced for their company, Hanna-Barbera. It ran from 1959 to 1965 with a total of 48 shorts airing in theaters. Each short followed the ongoing adventures of a helpful, gentleman wolf named Loopy De Loop, as he tries to clear the bad name of wolves, but is usually hurt in some form by those who he has helped due to the fact that he's a wolf.
When we started creating characters for our YouTube channel, Loopy was in the first lineup we did for modeling, we made them as they were part of HB's history, I did all the modeling work for the character.
The first Loopy story we produced for the channel, titled "The Good ol' Loopy Wolf," which was written by me. I no longer have the original storyboard as it was lost over time. The plot followed Loopy telling us, the viewers, how good some wolves can be. The second story, titled "Have a Loop of a Time," which was also written by me, involved Loopy trying to befriend a dog. In the final story, "Help, is Also a Lotta Pain for Our Dear Friend Loopy," which I also wrote, had trying to help out a man.
We are still in the process of writing more Loopy stories, as well as other Hanna-Barbera stories that you may see in the future. However, we haven't written a Loopy story in a while as of 2023, but I hope we can create more in the near future.
