The Mumbly Cartoon Show is a made-for-TV cartoon that William Hanna and Joseph Barbera produced for their company, Hanna-Barbera. It ran in 1976, with a total of 16 episodes airing on ABC. Sharing similar aspects to Muttley on the Wacky Races cartoon, Mumbly works as a detective for Chief Shnooker, each episode had Mumbly using an array of skills to catch crooks.
When we started creating characters for our YouTube channel, Mumbly was in the first lineup we did for modeling, while Shnooker was in a later lineup, we made them as they were part of HB's history, I did all modeling work for the characters.
The first Mumbly story we produced for the channel, titled "Catch the Badguy," which was written by me. The plot followed Mumbly trying to locate a crook, but being scared off by the crook's size. The second story, titled "Gotta Badguy to Catch," which wasn't written by me, involved Mumbly going after a badguy, and soon, locking him up. In the final story, "The Mutt Must Go On," which was written by me, had Mumbly going after a badguy.
We are still in the process of writing more Mumbly stories, as well as other Hanna-Barbera stories that you may see in the future. However, we haven't written a Mumbly story in a while as of 2023, but I hope we can create more in the near future.
