Behind the Scenes: The Making of Punkin' Puss and Mushmouse for Our YouTube Channel

Punkin' Puss & Mushmouse

is a made-for-TV cartoon that William Hanna and Joseph Barbera produced for their company, Hanna-Barbera. It ran from 1964 to 1966 as a segment under The Magilla Gorilla Show, with a total of 23 episodes airing in syndication. Each episode followed a hillbilly war between a cat named Punkin' Puss and a mouse named Mushmouse, in which they use different tactics to clobber one another
.

When we started creating characters for our YouTube channel, Punkin' Puss and Mushmouse were in the first lineup we did for modeling, we made them as they were part of HB's history, I did all the modeling work for Punkin' Puss.

The first Punkin' Puss story we produced for the channel, titled "Stop Mousin' Around," which was written by me. We likely don't have the original storyboard anymore. The plot followed Punkin' Puss chasing Mushmouse. The second story, titled "The Darn Little Varmint That Just Wasn't," which was also written by me, involved Punkin' Puss chasing Mushmouse once more. In the final story, "Mice It All You Want," which I also wrote, also had Punkin' Puss chasing Mushmouse.

We are still in the process of writing more Punkin' Puss and Mushmouse stories, as well as other Hanna-Barbera stories that you may see in the future. However, we haven't written a Punkin' Puss and Mushmouse story in a while as of 2023, but I hope we can create more in the near future.
