Behind the Scenes: The Making of Ricochet Rabbit for Our YouTube Channel

Ricochet Rabbit
 & Droop-a-long
is a made-for-TV cartoon that William Hanna and Joseph Barbera produced for their company, Hanna-Barbera. It ran from 1964 to 1966 as a segment under The Magilla Gorilla Show, with a total of 23 episodes airing in syndication. Each episode followed sheriff, ping, ping, ping,
Ricochet Rabbit catching no-good outlaws in the western town of Gopher Gulch, with his deputy and sidekick, Droop-a-long Coyte.

When we started creating characters for our YouTube channel, Ricochet and Droop-a-long were in the first lineup we did for modeling, we made them as they were part of HB's history, I did all modeling work with the exception of Ricochet's head.

The first Ricochet Rabbit story we produced for the channel, titled "Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping, Ping," which was written by me. We likely don't have the original storyboard anymore. The plot followed Ricochet and Droop-a-long going after some baddies. The second story, titled "How to Catch a Bandit," which wasn't written by me, involved Ricochet teaching Droop-a-long how to catch a bandit. In the final story, "Too Little Bit in This Here Town," which I wrote, also had Ricochet and Droop-a-long going after some baddies.

We are still in the process of writing more Ricochet Rabbit stories, as well as other Hanna-Barbera stories that you may see in the future. However, we haven't written a Ricochet story in a while as of 2023, but I hope we can create more in the near future.
