Behind the Scenes: The Making of Top Cat for Our YouTube Channel

Top Cat
is a made-for-TV cartoon that William Hanna and Joseph Barbera produced for their company, Hanna-Barbera. It ran from 1961 to 1962, with a total of 30 episodes airing on ABC. Each episode followed a gang of alley cats, Benny, Fancy Fancy, Choo Choo, Spook and Brain, led by Top Cat, roaming the streets of New York in attempt to swindle people into getting goods, but foiling Top Cat's schemes is local police officer, Officer Dibble, who makes sure Top Cat and his gang stay on the right side of the law
.

When we started creating characters for our YouTube channel, the entire cast were in the first lineup we did for modeling, we made them as they were part of HB's history, I did modeling work for all of the characters' heads, as well as some other parts like Brain's body and Dibble's body.

The first Top Cat story we produced for the channel, titled "A Real Wise Cat," which wasn't written by me. The plot followed Top Cat up to doing his usual schemes. The second story, titled "Chillin' in the Alley," which again, wasn't written by me, involved Top Cat talking about how he does the best at scamming before the cats eat. In the final story, "A Surprise for Dibble," which I wrote, had Top Cat and his gang throwing a surprise party for Dibble.

We are still in the process of writing more Top Cat stories, as well as other Hanna-Barbera stories that you may see in the future. However, we haven't written a Top Cat story in a while as of 2023, but I hope we can create more in the near future.
