Wally Gator is a made-for-TV cartoon that William Hanna and Joseph Barbera produced for their company, Hanna-Barbera. It ran from 1962 to 1963 as a segment under The Hanna-Barbera New Cartoon Series, with a total of 52 episodes airing in syndication. Each episode followed the ongoing adventures of a happy-go-lucky alligator named Wally Gator, as he tries many attempts to escape the city zoo, which is under the watch of zookeeper, Mr. Twiddle.
When we started creating characters for our YouTube channel, Wally and Twiddle were in the first lineup we did for modeling, we made them as they were part of HB's history, I did all the modeling work for the characters.
The first Wally Gator story we produced for the channel, titled "Later Gator," which was written by me. We do in fact have the original storyboard. The plot followed Wally escaping the city zoo once more, despite Twiddle telling him not to. The second story, titled "Where Are You Going Gator?," which was also written by me, once more involved Wally escaping from the city zoo despite Twiddle warning him not to. In the final story, "That's the Way the Gator Flies," which I also wrote, once more had Wally fleeing the zoo.
We are still in the process of writing more Wally Gator stories, as well as other Hanna-Barbera stories that you may see in the future. However, we haven't written a Wally Gator story in a while as of 2023, but I hope we can create more in the near future.
