Touché Turtle and Dum Dum is a made-for-TV cartoon that William Hanna and Joseph Barbera produced for their company, Hanna-Barbera. It ran from 1962 to 1963 as a segment under The Hanna-Barbera New Cartoon Series, with a total of 52 episodes airing in syndication. Each episode followed the ongoing adventures of a adventurous tortoise, Touché, and his trusty sheepdog companion, Dum Dum, as they fight off evil such as dragons or bad guys.
When we started creating characters for our YouTube channel, Touché and Dum Dum were in the first lineup we did for modeling, we made them as they were part of HB's history, I did all the modeling work for Dum Dum.
The first Touché story we produced for the channel, titled "Turtle on the Run," which wasn't written by me. I don't know if we still have the original storyboard. The plot followed Touché and Dum Dum chasing after a bad guy. The second story, titled "Turtle to the Rescue," which I also didn't write, involved Touché saving the day once more. In the final story, "What a Daze," which I also didn't write, once more had Touché saving the day.
We are still in the process of writing more Touché stories, as well as other Hanna-Barbera stories that you may see in the future. However, we haven't written a Touché story in a while as of 2023, but I hope we can create more in the near future.
